In this video, my brother Mark aka MFA, goes over further into sports betting and looks at the concept of point spreads, and how to read them. A point spread is a the amount of points a team is favored to win by, indicated by a minus (-) sign. For example, if the Cleveland Cavaliers are favored to win against the Golden State Warriors by 3 points, then their point spread would be -3. On the other hand, the Golden State Warriors would be likely to lose by 3 points, which would be indicated by a plus (+) sign, and their spread would be +3. If you were to bet on a team to "cover" the spread, that means that your team beats the given spread. For example, betting on the Cavaliers to cover the spread would require that they win by MORE than 3 points. Betting on the Warriors would require they ...
In this video I try to explain what a "unit" is in sports betting. Often bettors are referring to risking or betting 1 unit, 2 unit, etc per play, but many beginners aren't sure what they mean by a "unit". Check out the video, but I will try and explain it below as well... Basically a unit is a way to measure the size of your bets. Each bettor can have their own definition of what a unit is, but most commonly 1 unit = 1% of your bankroll. If you were to risk 5 units on a play you would be risking 5% of your bankroll. But it is important to realize that everyone has their own definition of a unit. One bettor may say that his 1 unit = 5% of his bankroll, while the other might say 1 unit = 0.5% of his bankroll. A unit is a good way to measure sports betting success. A handicapper mi...

Learn more in the bettingexpert Academy: http://bit.ly/BE-Academy. Betting Each Way Betting each way is a useful tool in horse racing. It’s a great way of finding value. A each way bet is two bets - one to win and one place...' It pays out a percentage of the winning price if your horse comes second to fourth – depending on the race. The payouts change with numbers of runners. It breaks down like this….. (Table) Races with 5-7 runners only covers 1st and second at 25% of the winning, more than eight sees the first three pay out 20%, and more than 15, in a handicapped race sees the front four pay out, also at 20%. Bookmakers hate each way betting. It’s an old formula, which doesn’t benefit them… Which is good news for you, the punter! The best time to bet each way is to look at rac...
